Pallenberg Dress - Paphos Chilly Red

Inspired by the vintage embroidered patches which one so often come across during  travels to India, Maison Hotel wanted to create a dress which mimicked this.

Rendered in cotton crepe fabric, the v-neck dress has elastic cuffs and matching tassels and pom-poms, but the highlight is the chest embroidery. 

A  purchased a vintage piece of embroidery provided inspiration and produced the multi-colour design. The problem was the difficulty in achieving the faded colours of a vintage piece. 

The solution? Run a double stone-wash process to give both fabric and embroidery colours a slightly tattered effect.
