Dhurrie Cotton Rug - Turmeric Tropicana

This dhurrie collection is made from handloomed cotton, and has been blockprinted (and in some cases with hand embroidered detail), in a range of patterns and colours that will suit any interior, from rural to urban or coastal - a particularly great addition to a beachside holiday house.

A dhurrie is an Indian term for a handwoven rug or a thin flat carpet. Dhurries are an exceptionally useful item of home furnishing as they are beautiful, easy to care for, and can change the energy in a room in an easy and inexpensive way. 

Dhurries are great under a coffee or dining table, as a bedside rug, beide a childs cot, on a timber floor, over carpet that gets a lot of use, or as a beach side picnic blanket.
