Handloomed Organic Cotton Scarf - Black + White Check

This beautiful hand loomed cotton scarf has been finely woven in contrasting thread to form a dense check pattern, with a plain border at each end. 

Thriving in the landscape of Kachchh, in Gujarat State, master weaver Vankar Shamji has put together 60 families of weavers and dyers who collaboratively create fabrics of cotton and wool. Centering around the idea of community and home, they work unitedly to produce high-quality textiles which speak of natural fabrics, (silk, wool and cotton), natural dyes, and time honoured traditions of hand spinning and hand weaving on looms.

Recipient of many awards, Shamji Vankar Vishram Valji epitomises holistic development for the preservation of heritage, skill, ecology, identity, and knowledge.
