Ajrakh Tussar Silk Scarf - Desert Sands
This Ajrakh scarf is blockprinted on handwoven wild tussar silk cloth using natural dyes.
Ajrakh is a traditional style of block printing which uses hand-carved wooden blocks to print natural dyes on cloth. These Ajrakhs are made by the Khatri family residing in the Kutch desert of Gujarat, India - a family that has been block printing for over nine generations.
Silk is a protein fibre and naturally warming, so it makes for a good shawl to keep your neck warm in the cooler months or wear long, as a show-stopper with your favourite outfit.
Care Instructions: Hand wash with cool water and mild pH neutral liquid soap. Hang to dry in the shade.
