Jamdani Ikat Dress - Kala Cotton White
Kala Cotton is an old-world cotton mainly grown in a few districts of Gujarat State in north western India. Most of it is grown without the use of irrigation, chemical fertilisers and perticide. It's a cotton crop with a very low ecological footprint. As well, it is a joy to wear!
This beautiful dress, made from Kala cotton, has been hand loomed and pieceed together with ikat and jamdani weaves - the vertical stripes offering flattering lines to both the body of the dress and the neckline. The mirror work detailing is a joy.
An easy to wear summer dress to wear on its own or with accompanying fine cotton slip.
