Kantha refers to both a style of running stitch embroidery and the finished cloth itself. The authentic Kantha quilt is inherently vintage, crafted from repurposed saris that are no longer worn. Usable pieces of cloth are skillfully pieced together, forming patchwork layers to create generously sized bedspreads.
